Art Macabre Death Drawing: Grimm Ink

A special sketching series as part of Once Upon A WigWam.

1.30pm - 3.30pm, 1pm doors

Art Macabre explore the dark and twisted tales of the Brothers Grimm, inviting you to create your own illustrations and sketch scenes from the stories. Make macabre marks and try 'death drawing' within the atmospheric, cosy wigwam in the clouds. Inspired by tableaux featuring nude life models and costumed characters, haunting soundtracks and spoken narrative.

Art Macabre offer a unique, theatrical and truly grim take on the classic fairy tales at each event- exploring the classics as well as variations from around the world, the original folklore origins and queered, postmodern interpretations such as Angela Carter. From Little Dead Riding Hood, to The Bloody Chamber, a frightful Snow White, to wild wolves and wicked wives. Inject a lethal dose of theatricality, magic and the macabre into your drawings.

£10 tickets in advance online, bring your own sketchbook or purchase paper for an additional £1. Pencils and charcoal provided.

What is the Handling Charge for?

To ensure tickets are delivered safely and securely and to keep the price as low as possible for you, the ticket buyer, Queen of Hoxton generally uses our E-ticket system unless otherwise stated.

For this service we charge a small Handling Fee to cover the debit/credit card processing fees, customer services, processing and distribution of tickets and our secure server costs. We always try to keep these costs to an absolute minimum. If you feel at any time that our prices are not fair or competitive we'd be happy to hear from you.

Delivery

If you have ordered physical paper tickets there is a further Delivery cost added to cover the delivery of your order through the Royal Mail network.

We always endeavour to keep these costs as low as possible to merely cover the costs of postage. We only charge you one Delivery cost per order so if there is a big group of you recommend purchasing larger amounts in one order.

When you purchase tickets through Queen of Hoxton, the full face value of the ticket is shown. This price is the price set by the event organiser and we pay this full amount to the organiser without any deductions.
